tiny identity buttons

copyleft & archive philosophy

I view this as a community resource, which I serve as the primary curator and archivist. I want anyone to be able to use the buttons on their profiles, webpages, etc for free, for any reason, without being required to ask permission or provide credit.

I want to retain the legal right to archive any new buttons people make using my work, and to modify those buttons if needed to maintain consistency of font, palette, art style, etc within the collection. I also want to be able to delete buttons from the archive if I no longer want to personally host them for any reason.

Any rules I'm laying out are meant to achieve these goals!

license details

License date: August 8th, 2026

The buttons, font, icons, and palettes ("Assets") are copyrighted by fluffmoth, June 24 2018 to the present.

The Assets are free to redistribute and display anywhere, by anyone, with or without credit.

The Assets are distributed under a "share-alike" condition. You may modify the Assets or use them to create derivative works, such as custom buttons and other images. These derivative works must be shared under the same agreement. That means if you make your own buttons using the Assets, they also must be free for anyone to redistribute, display, or modify without credit.

You need permission to use the Assets to create works under a different license (e.g. if you always want to be credited, or if you don't want people to repost or edit your work.) This is what lets me maintain this archive without having to do a lot of coordination about it!

You may receive compensation, such as money or in-game currencies, as a one-time payment in exchange for the labor of fulfilling a button request. However, the end product must be shared under the same license (share-alike).
